How to De-Brand your SEMC Phone
All SEMC phones follow the same guidelines with only different firmware and default language files.
These are also the instructions used for updating the firmware and language in your phone
When updating your firmware you must flash the firmware and default language files.
This will erase all the settings from your phone so please ensure you back up anything you wish to keep
*****Always fully charge your phone*****
1. If it is a new phone make sure it is switched on and you have allowed it to fully boot before switching
it off and doing any operation
2. Switch OFF your phone
3. Open the Client Software and enter your username and password
4. Insert your cable into the COM/USB port and phone
5. Check your settings
6. Press Check CID to check the Colour and CID of your phone
7. Download the correct flash files
Please Note: the versions of the Firmware and Default Language file must match for example If you choose
a R2AE033 firmware file you must also chose a R2AE033 Default Language file. Also the Region of both must
match eg for EU1 Language file you must chose the EU Firmware file
SonyEricsson SmartPhones require you to flash both the Firmware and PDA parts and requires 2 credits.
In this example we are de-branding a W800 phone with a USB TMS service cable. Please Note this is also
how to convert a K750 to a W800
Select the K5S File you require, in this example we have used W800_R1BC002_ZONE_1_EU-EMEAUS.
75S this the correct file for EU, EMEA and USA language packs
As you can see we have only selected the firmware file, this will not use a credit because flashing the
firmware file is free, as long as you have at least 1 credit in your account. We ask all our customers to flash
the firmware file separately to the default language file because we have this conserves battery power and
results in fewer errors.
Once you have the correct file selected then press the ‘Program files to Phone Memory’ button follow the on
screen instructions and once it has completely finished and displayed done. Take out the battery and reinsert
it into the phone but do not power on or take out the cable. Always ensure the back cover is on to fully
secure the battery.
Ensure the cable still has a firm connection with the phone
